Santa Cruz, CA - May 18, 2024 - Health Projects Center (HPC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $20,000 from the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County.
This grant will support HPC’s mission to help people age safely at home by supporting high-quality services and programs in Santa Cruz County and benefit older adults, family caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
“Santa Cruz County has the fastest growing older adult population of all counties in California,” said John Beleutz, Executive Director at Health Projects Center. “This grant will help Health Projects Center to support the needs of isolated older adults in our communities.”
The $20,000 grant will support HPC's initiatives of expanding care management programs to assist 25% more low-income individuals, extending HPC’s reach into rural and underserved communities, and investing in technologies to support a mobile workforce. Additionally, this grant will help HPC address the growing need of older adults in the community.
Community Foundation Santa Cruz County’s commitment to investing in community health aligns closely with HPC's values and objectives, making this partnership a significant step towards building a healthier and more resilient community.
